Description
Regarded as the hidden gem of golf in North Wales , Old Colwyn Golf Club is a 9-hole meadowland course, situated less than a mile from the A55 Chester to Holyhead coast road, making it easily accessible from the North of England. With beautiful views of the Welsh countryside and the Irish sea, we invite Golfing Wales visitors to enjoy the challenging course and marvel at all that Old Colwyn Golf Club can offer.
Old Colwyn’s par 68, 5,263 yard course was designed by legendary golfer and 5 times Open Champion James Braid, and was opened during September 1907. The course consists of one par 5, five par 4s and three par 3s. The 159 yard, par 3, 7th is our signature hole, where you need to clear three large mature oak trees that guard the front of the green and is a true test for golfers of all standards.
The strength of Old Colwyn Golf Club lies not only in the course, however, but in the club itself, where you will be sure to receive a warm welcome and we invite you to join us in the clubhouse after your round for a drink and to share your stories.
